Kindred Spirits B&B first opened its doors in Asheville's historic Montford neighborhood in 1996. We then built the Tree House in nearby Black Mountain as a "nature temple" and retreat destination in 2000. Since then we have hosted many spiritual retreats, gatherings, and various guests from all over. We are nestled in the southern highlands of Appalachia -- oldest mountains on the planet, with the most diverse flora and fauna in North America.
As a resident of this area since 1976, I've participated in the phenomenal resurgence of local tourism, with attractions like the Blue Ridge Parkway, Lake Lure, the Biltmore Estate, and the progressive cultural oasis that has become Asheville.
